System Requirements Document for chart-screenshot

1. Introduction

chart-screenshot is a market-analysis application built around two clearly separated capabilities. The first is chart screenshot analysis: users upload TradingView or MT5 screenshots and receive a structured read of the chart — market structure, liquidity, order blocks, fair value gaps, trend, entry zones, risk levels, scenarios and a validation verdict. The second is a broader market intelligence and strategy-operations platform (Apex) that analyses live market conditions, explains market behaviour, tests strategies and, over time, coordinates automated trading systems across accounts.

A defining constraint governs the product: screenshot analysis is labelled separately from live market analysis. An image cannot reliably provide current prices, exact spreads or live order-flow information, so screenshot-derived output is presented as chart interpretation, never as a live market reading.

1.1 Audience

The product serves discretionary and systematic traders who work from TradingView or MT5 charts and want consistent, evidence-backed interpretation of what they see, plus operators of automated strategies (EAs) who need capital allocation, drawdown protection and regime-aware deployment. The platform is designed around instruments such as XAUUSD, BTCUSD, US30, EURUSD, DXY and US10Y.

1.2 Product Pillars

Screenshot Analysis. The Chart Screenshot Scanner analyses uploaded TradingView or MT5 screenshots. Structure Detection identifies HH, HL, LH, LL, BOS and CHoCH. Liquidity Detection finds equal highs/lows and potential liquidity sweeps. Order Block Analysis identifies potential bullish and bearish order blocks, and FVG Detection finds fair value gaps and their mitigation. Trend Analysis determines bullish, bearish or ranging conditions. The Entry Generator calculates potential entry zones and the Risk Mapper draws SL, TP1, TP2 and TP3. The Scenario Builder generates bullish and bearish scenarios, and Setup Validation explains why a setup qualifies or fails. Supporting capabilities include multi-timeframe screenshot comparison, automatic timeframe recognition where possible, a chart annotation overlay, a setup quality score with supporting evidence, historical setup similarity search, AI explanation of every detected level, and an exportable professional analysis report.

Market Intelligence. The Apex Market Intelligence Engine analyses market structure, volatility, momentum, trend strength, volume and price behaviour to produce a complete market report, with a top recommendation and live bullish/bearish/neutral scenarios, a market strength score, important price levels, entry/SL/TP drawings, scenario invalidation and historical comparisons. A Market DNA capability profiles each instrument's recurring behaviour — average impulse and retracement, common reversal conditions — and compares current price behaviour against historical patterns. A forensic analysis capability reconstructs a market move candle by candle, identifies the conditions before the move, measures volume and volatility changes, finds failed continuation attempts and the earliest measurable warning signs, and outputs an annotated investigation with an evidence report. Signal logic is non-repainting. The Apex AI Market Analyst explains what the market is doing, why it is moving, what conditions matter and what could happen next.

Screens. Ten screens are planned: Market Intelligence Dashboard, Advanced Market Scanner, Chart Intelligence Studio (interactive charts with automatic BUY/SELL drawings, entry, SL, TP1–TP3 and invalidation), AI Market Analyst, Strategy Testing Laboratory, News & Economic Intelligence, Risk & Trade Management, Cross-Market Intelligence, Trading Performance Centre and Market Forecast & Scenario Lab. Sidebar navigation groups them as Overview, Markets, Analysis, AI Tools, Research, Management, Intelligence and Forecasting.

Advanced Post-Profitability Systems. Ten systems extend the platform: APEX Profit Predictor (confidence ranges, not guaranteed profit predictions), Smart Capital Distributor, Multi-Account Replication, Strategy Factory, Drawdown Recovery Controller (no automatic martingale recovery), Market Regime Switcher, Execution Optimiser, Strategy Championship, Profit Vault (explicit withdrawal permissions required) and the Autonomous Operations Director.

1.3 Build Priority

The first five systems to build are: (1) Autonomous Operations Director, which controls the entire platform; (2) Smart Capital Distributor; (3) Drawdown Recovery Controller; (4) Strategy Factory; and (5) Market Regime Switcher. The remaining systems and screens follow in later phases.

1.4 Visual Direction

Headings use Inter or Manrope and numbers use JetBrains Mono. The dashboard favours compact data cards and live market statistics; the Chart Intelligence Studio uses a large chart area with clean drawings and floating analysis panels; the AI Market Analyst uses a chat interface with structured reports and evidence; the Strategy Testing Laboratory uses professional statistical tables, equity curves and drawdown charts.

5. Core User Flows

5.1 Analyse a chart screenshot

Actor: Trader. Trigger: Trader uploads a TradingView or MT5 screenshot to the Chart Screenshot Scanner.

  1. Trader uploads the image; the scanner attempts automatic timeframe recognition and, where several images are supplied, aligns them for multi-timeframe comparison.
  2. The system detects structure (HH, HL, LH, LL, BOS, CHoCH), liquidity (equal highs/lows, potential sweeps), order blocks (bullish and bearish), fair value gaps and their mitigation, and classifies trend as bullish, bearish or ranging.
  3. The Entry Generator calculates potential entry zones; the Risk Mapper draws SL, TP1, TP2 and TP3; the Scenario Builder produces bullish and bearish scenarios.
  4. Setup Validation explains why the setup qualifies or fails, and a setup quality score is returned with supporting evidence. Every detected level carries an AI explanation, and a chart annotation overlay is applied.
  5. Trader may run a historical setup similarity search or export a professional analysis report.

Result: An annotated screenshot analysis with scored, explained setups. Branch: If the timeframe cannot be recognised, the trader confirms it manually before analysis proceeds. Constraint: Screenshot analysis is labelled separately from live market analysis; an image cannot reliably provide current prices, exact spreads or live order-flow information.

5.2 Review live market intelligence

Actor: Trader. Trigger: Trader opens the Market Intelligence Dashboard.

  1. Dashboard presents live market condition, bullish/bearish/neutral scenarios, market strength score and important price levels.
  2. Trader opens Chart Intelligence Studio for interactive charts with automatic BUY/SELL drawings, entry, SL, TP1, TP2, TP3 and invalidation.
  3. Trader consults the Market DNA report (per-instrument behaviour profile) and historical comparisons; the Market Intelligence Engine supplies the top recommendation from structure, volatility, momentum, trend strength, volume and price behaviour.
  4. Trader moves to the Market Forecast & Scenario Lab for projected ranges, probability estimates and invalidation levels.

Result: A complete market report with scenarios and invalidation. Continuation: Trader may hand the setup to Risk & Trade Management or the Strategy Testing Lab.

5.3 Ask the AI Market Analyst

Actor: Trader. Trigger: Trader poses a question in the AI Market Analyst chat.

  1. Analyst answers with explanations backed by live market data and calculated indicators, covering what the market is doing, why it is moving, what conditions matter and what could happen next.
  2. Trader may request a forensic investigation of a past move: candle-by-candle reconstruction, pre-move conditions, volume and volatility changes, failed continuations, earliest warning signs and historical comparison.

Result: An evidence report with annotated charts. Branch: If data for the requested instrument is unavailable, the analyst states the gap rather than speculating.

5.4 Scan instruments and timeframes

Actor: Trader. Trigger: Trader runs the Advanced Market Scanner.

  1. Scanner scans multiple instruments and timeframes for developing setups, breakouts, reversals and market conditions.
  2. Trader ranks results and selects one to open in Chart Intelligence Studio.

Result: A ranked list of developing opportunities.

5.5 Test a strategy

Actor: Trader. Trigger: Trader opens the Strategy Testing Laboratory.

  1. Trader tests setups against historical data.
  2. System returns statistical tables, equity curves, drawdown charts and setup comparisons with expectancy.

Result: Comparable performance evidence. Continuation: Promising candidates can be forwarded to forward testing.

5.6 Manage risk and monitor live trades

Actor: Trader. Trigger: Trader opens Risk & Trade Management or connects an MT5 terminal.

  1. Trader calculates position size, risk-to-reward, exposure and stop-loss.
  2. On MT5 connection, the system synchronises balance, equity, free margin, margin level, floating profit/loss, account currency and leverage, then monitors live trades (symbol and direction, entry price, current price, lot size, floating P/L).

Result: Sized positions and a synchronised live account view. Branch: If the terminal disconnects, monitoring pauses and the trader is notified to reconnect.

5.7 Compare cross-market and review performance

Actor: Trader. Trigger: Trader opens Cross-Market Intelligence or the Trading Performance Centre.

  1. Cross-Market Intelligence compares Gold, DXY, US10Y, BTCUSD, EURUSD and others through correlation and divergence.
  2. Trading Performance Centre shows trade history, setup accuracy, win rate, profit factor, performance charts and the trading journal.

Result: Context for instrument selection and a record of realised performance.

5.8 Check news and economic events

Actor: Trader. Trigger: Trader opens News & Economic Intelligence.

  1. System presents the economic calendar, important announcements, news sentiment and instrument-specific event analysis.

Result: Event awareness before committing to a setup.

5.9 Operate by voice

Actor: Trader. Trigger: Trader activates the floating microphone button or the full-screen Voice AI workspace.

  1. Trader issues a command such as "Analyse Gold", "Find setups", "Open Bitcoin", "Check H1 trend", "Explain this setup", "Find reversals", "Calculate my risk", "Check the news", "Give me market updates" or "Show my best opportunity".
  2. System routes the command to the matching screen or analysis and reads back the result; scheduled continuous market briefings are delivered as configured.

Result: Hands-free navigation and spoken analysis. Branch: If a command is not recognised, the assistant asks for clarification.

  1. Director coordinates agents, EAs, indicators, accounts, scanners and backtesters and monitors system health.
  2. Smart Capital Distributor allocates capital across approved EAs by risk-adjusted performance, drawdown and correlation; Market Regime Switcher activates only strategies approved for the detected regime.
  3. Drawdown Recovery Controller reduces exposure and pauses weak strategies on drawdown, requiring fresh validation before restart; no automatic martingale recovery.
  4. Strategy Factory generates variations, backtests them and sends successful candidates to forward testing; Strategy Championship ranks approved strategies on profit factor, expectancy, drawdown, consistency and cross-condition performance.
  5. Profit Vault tracks realised profits, reserves, reinvestment, withdrawal targets and account growth; withdrawals require explicit permission.

Result: Supervised deployment with recorded approvals. Branch: A strategy failing validation remains paused until the operator re-approves it.

5.11 Monitor and act on a live MT5 account

Actor: Trader. Trigger: Account event or trader opens the Live Account Alert System or MT5 Remote Control Centre.

  1. Alert System notifies on position opened, position closed, SL or TP triggered, drawdown threshold reached, connection disconnected and unusual trading activity.
  2. Trader reviews the consolidated AI account view, which combines live account, trade, market and risk information and shows the most important warnings first.
  3. Through the optional authorised control interface, trader opens positions, closes individual positions, modifies SL and TP, closes all positions, enables or disables automated trading, or triggers emergency account protection.

Result: Timely alerts and controlled account actions. Constraint: Remote actions require authorisation, confirmation and audit logging.

5.12 Command multiple accounts

Actor: Trader/operator. Trigger: Operator opens the Apex Multi-Account Command Centre.

  1. Centre connects multiple MT5 accounts, compares account performance in real time and tracks combined exposure across brokers, with a central view of all connected terminals.
  2. Approved strategies may be replicated across accounts with independent lot sizing, risk limits and execution monitoring.

Result: A unified multi-account view with controlled replication.

5.13 Analyse historical MT5 performance

Actor: Trader. Trigger: Trader imports historical MT5 transactions into the Apex AI Trade Analyst.

  1. System imports winning and losing trades, entry and exit prices, trading duration, historical profit/loss, symbol performance and buy versus sell performance.
  2. AI analyses every completed trade, identifies repeated mistakes, reviews entry timing, studies stop-loss placement, explains winning and losing trades and provides performance recommendations.

Result: An evidence-based performance review. Continuation: Recommendations feed back into strategy testing and risk settings.

5.14 Run automated XAUUSD execution

Actor: Trader/operator. Trigger: Operator enables the APEX AI Auto Execution Engine.

  1. Engine places automated XAUUSD buy and sell entries under the approved strategy deployment.
  2. Operator retains the emergency stop-all-trading control.

Result: Automated execution with a single emergency halt. Branch: Emergency stop halts all trading immediately.

5.15 Forecast and protect capital

Actor: Trader/operator. Trigger: Operator opens the APEX Profit Predictor or Profit Vault.

  1. Profit Predictor estimates potential future performance from historical results, volatility, market regimes and current strategy conditions, returning confidence ranges rather than guaranteed profit predictions.
  2. Profit Vault tracks realised profits, reserves, reinvestment, withdrawal targets and account growth; withdrawals require explicit permission.

Result: Forward-looking confidence ranges and a governed profit record.

5.16 Optimise execution quality

Actor: Trader/operator. Trigger: Operator reviews the APEX Execution Optimiser.

  1. Optimiser measures spread, slippage, latency, rejected orders and fill quality.
  2. It adjusts permitted execution behaviour to improve order quality.

Result: Measured and adjusted execution behaviour.

5.17 Build priority (default sequencing)

Default: derived from the user's stated top-five build order; not a runtime flow. Autonomous Operations Director, then Smart Capital Distributor, then Drawdown Recovery Controller, then Strategy Factory, then Market Regime Switcher.

7. Signature Design Concept

[Design proposal; unspecified choices are defaults.]

The public entry is a full-bleed dark canvas of flowing cyan and gold particles drawn from live tick data. The headline sits left in a 9-column block over the canvas; glass stat panels float at the right; a live ticker strip runs along the bottom edge. The signature moves carry through the product: the generative particle canvas, the full-width scrolling ticker, the floating glass AI panel overlaying the chart's right edge with evidence rows, the sidebar active item with a cyan glow bar and soft outer light, and JetBrains Mono numerals that count up on first load.

Screenshot analysis is visually separated from live market analysis: an image cannot reliably provide current prices, exact spreads or live order-flow, so screenshot-derived levels, structure, liquidity, order blocks, FVGs and scenarios are labelled as image analysis, while live panels carry the cyan live-data treatment. Setup confidence and evidence panels, customisable dashboard panels, expandable full-screen charts, a live data connection indicator and professional loading skeletons complete the premium surface.

8. Interaction Model & Motion Direction

[Design proposal; unspecified choices are defaults.]

Interaction Model: Parallax Motion Tempo: cinematic Hero Dimensionality: webgl

Landing Hero Motion Brief. Focal subject: a real-time particle field of cyan and gold market ticks filling the first screen. Input → transformation → outcome: incoming tick data drives particle flow and density; the field resolves into a composed market canvas; glass stat panels and the ticker present the live read. Motion vocabulary: slow continuous particle flow, half-speed scroll-linked canvas, 200ms panel fades, count-up numerals. First frame: dark ground, headline left, particles already in motion, ticker running, stat panels settled. Reduced motion: static composed particle frame, ticker wrapped into readable rows, numerals at final values.

Landing Hero 3D Scene Brief — DIRECTION-DERIVED. One crafted real-time WebGL/R3F particle field whose density and colour encode the market's defining state — cyan for live data, gold for AI insight — with a compact scene that stays legible behind the headline and never covers readable text or controls.

9. Non-Functional Requirements

No additional details specified.

10. Tech Stack

10.1 Required Integrations

  • MT5 live account connection. Users connect real MT5 live account credentials so the dashboard pulls live market data and the execution engine can be tested against the actual account. Credentials are handled through secure backend API integrations with authentication and proper error handling.
  • Real market data provider. All market prices, charts, indicators, signals and analysis must use real market data; historical backtesting must use actual historical price data. The platform supports live market data streaming or frequent API updates, real-time multi-market scanning, and live entry, SL, TP1, TP2 and TP3 calculations.
  • Persistent storage. Database storage holds complete execution and performance history, historical setup validation records, real signal performance tracking and live market decision reports.

10.2 Data Integrity and Failure Handling

No sample-only analysis, simulated market signals, placeholder buttons, fake AI results or fabricated statistics are permitted. When a data provider is unavailable, the platform displays connection status explicitly rather than inventing prices or signals. Screenshot analysis is labelled separately from live market analysis, since an image cannot reliably provide current prices, exact spreads or live order-flow information.

10.3 Defaults (Explicitly Labelled)

  • Application layer: responsive web application; no native mobile application is required.
  • Backend: secure API service layer mediating MT5 and market-data provider access, with authentication and error handling as stated above.
  • Charting: client-side rendering of live charts and annotation overlays (chart annotation overlay, SL/TP1/TP2/TP3 risk mapping) fed by backend market data.
  • Screenshot ingestion: upload pipeline for TradingView and MT5 screenshots with automatic timeframe recognition where possible, feeding structure, liquidity, order block, FVG and trend detection.
  • Reporting: exportable professional analysis report generated server-side from stored analysis and performance records.

11. Assumptions and Constraints

No additional details specified.

12. Glossary

Chart Screenshot Analysis — The analysis mode that works from uploaded TradingView or MT5 screenshots. It is labelled separately from live market analysis: an image cannot reliably provide current prices, exact spreads or live order-flow information.

Live Market Analysis — Analysis of current market conditions, distinct from screenshot analysis. It is the source of the live market condition, market strength score, important price levels, entry/SL/TP drawings, scenario invalidation and historical comparisons.

HH / HL / LH / LL — Higher High, Higher Low, Lower High and Lower Low: the swing points identified by Structure Detection.

BOS (Break of Structure) — A structural break identified by Structure Detection, alongside CHoCH.

CHoCH (Change of Character) — A structural shift identified by Structure Detection, alongside BOS.

Liquidity Sweep — A potential sweep of liquidity, detected together with equal highs and equal lows by Liquidity Detection.

Order Block — A potential bullish or bearish order block identified by Order Block Analysis.

FVG (Fair Value Gap) — A fair value gap found by FVG Detection, including its mitigation status.

Setup Quality Score — A score assigned to a detected setup, accompanied by the supporting evidence behind it.

Scenario — A bullish or bearish projection produced by the Scenario Builder; Setup Validation explains why a setup qualifies or fails.

Market DNA — The per-instrument profile built by the Apex Market Intelligence Engine: recurring price-movement characteristics, average impulse and retracement behaviour, common reversal conditions, and comparison of current behaviour against historical patterns. Output is a live Market DNA report for instruments such as XAUUSD, BTCUSD and US30.

Apex AI Market Analyst — The AI assistant that explains what the market is doing, why it is moving, what conditions matter and what could happen next.

Apex Market Intelligence Engine — The engine that analyses market structure, volatility, momentum, trend strength, volume and price behaviour to produce a complete market report and top recommendation.

Market-Movement Investigation — The forensic analysis output that reconstructs a move candle by candle, identifies the conditions before the move, measures volume and volatility changes, finds failed continuation attempts, identifies the earliest measurable warning signs, and compares the move against historical examples; delivered with annotated charts and an evidence report.

Non-Repainting Signal Logic — Signal logic whose historical signals are not altered after the fact.

EA (Expert Advisor) — An automated MT5 trading strategy; approved EAs are the units distributed capital, paused, validated and ranked by the APEX systems.

APEX Profit Predictor — Estimates potential future performance from historical results, volatility, market regimes and current strategy conditions; returns confidence ranges, not guaranteed profit predictions.

APEX Smart Capital Distributor — Automatically distributes available capital between approved EAs based on risk-adjusted performance, drawdown and correlation.

APEX Multi-Account Replication — Runs approved strategies across multiple MT5 accounts with independent lot sizing, risk limits and execution monitoring.

APEX Strategy Factory — Automatically generates strategy variations, backtests them and sends successful candidates into forward testing.

APEX Drawdown Recovery Controller — Detects drawdown, reduces exposure, pauses weak strategies and requires fresh validation before restarting them. No automatic martingale recovery.

APEX Market Regime Switcher — Detects trending, ranging, high-volatility and low-volatility markets and activates only strategies approved for the detected conditions.

APEX Execution Optimiser — Measures spread, slippage, latency, rejected orders and fill quality, and adjusts permitted execution behaviour to improve order quality.

APEX Strategy Championship — A live leaderboard of approved strategies comparing profit factor, expectancy, drawdown, consistency and performance across market conditions.

APEX Profit Vault — Tracks realised profits, reserves, reinvestment, withdrawal targets and account growth; requires explicit withdrawal permissions.

APEX Autonomous Operations Director — Coordinates all agents, EAs, indicators, accounts, scanners and backtesters, monitors system health and manages approved strategy deployment.

Build Priority — The first five systems to build, in order: Autonomous Operations Director, Smart Capital Distributor, Drawdown Recovery Controller, Strategy Factory, Market Regime Switcher.
