Introduction
The purpose of this document is to outline the system requirements for the "cedar-cake" project. This project aims to develop a high-converting e-commerce website for KITY OVEN, a premium cake shop. System Overview
The cedar-cake project will create an e-commerce platform tailored to the needs of KITY OVEN. Functional Requirements
- As a User, I should be able to view a dynamic banner on the Home Page showcasing the 'Cake of the Month', Featured Categories, and Customer Reviews.
- As a Customer, I should be able to customize my cake order by selecting size/weight, preferences (egg vs. eggless), and adding personalization details.
- As a Customer, I should be able to upload an image for custom photo cakes.
- As a Customer, I should be able to choose a delivery date and time slot or opt for self-pickup.
- As a Customer, I should be able to make payments using UPI (GPay/PhonePe) or Credit/Debit Cards via Razorpay or similar.
- As a Customer, I should be able to engage in instant chat and receive automated order confirmations via WhatsApp.

Signature Design Concept
The cedar-cake website will feature an interactive homepage that resembles a vibrant cake shop window. Using @react-three/fiber and @react-three/drei, the homepage will present a 3D cake display where users can rotate and explore different cake designs. Hovering over a cake will reveal customization options and customer reviews, while clicking will lead to detailed product pages. The background will feature a subtle animation of floating cake decorations, creating an immersive and delightful browsing experience.

Interaction Model & Motion Direction
The landing page will employ a "parallax" interaction model, providing a layered depth effect as users scroll through the site. Decorative elements, such as floating cake decorations, will move at different speeds to create a dynamic visual experience. Internal pages, such as the shop and product customization pages, will use an "animated" model with scroll-triggered reveals and hover transitions to maintain a polished and engaging user experience.
Non-Functional Requirements
- The website must load quickly and be optimized for SEO to ensure visibility in search results for keywords like 'Best cakes in [My City]' and 'KITY OVEN online order'.
- The platform should support high availability and scalability to handle peak traffic during special occasions.
