bronze-app System Requirements Document

1. Introduction

The purpose of this document is to outline the system requirements for the "bronze-app," a single-page to-do application. This document will detail the functional and non-functional requirements, user personas, core user flows, visual design, and technical specifications necessary for the development and deployment of the bronze-app.

2. System Overview

The bronze-app is designed to be a simple, user-friendly single-page application that allows users to manage their tasks efficiently. The app will provide a streamlined interface for creating, viewing, and managing to-do items without the need for multiple pages or complex navigation.

3. Functional Requirements

  • As a User, I should be able to add a new to-do item.
  • As a User, I should be able to view a list of all my to-do items.
  • As a User, I should be able to mark a to-do item as completed.
  • As a User, I should be able to delete a to-do item.

4. User Personas

  • User: The primary persona for the bronze-app. This user wants a simple and efficient way to manage their daily tasks on a single-page interface.

5. Core User Flows

  • User opens the app -> User adds a new to-do item -> User views the list of to-do items -> User marks an item as completed or deletes it.

6. Visuals Colors and Theme

  • primary: #4A90E2 (a calming blue for the main interface elements)
  • primary_light: #A6C8F0 (a lighter blue for hover states and secondary UI)
  • secondary: #F5A623 (a warm orange for headlines and emphasis)
  • accent: #50E3C2 (a vibrant teal for CTAs and active states)
  • highlight: #F8E71C (a bright yellow for hover states and notifications)
  • bg: #FFFFFF (a clean white for the page background)
  • surface: rgba(74, 144, 226, 0.1) (a subtle blue for card/panel backgrounds)
  • text: #333333 (a dark gray for primary text)
  • text_muted: #9B9B9B (a soft gray for secondary text and labels)
  • border: rgba(74, 144, 226, 0.2) (a light blue for borders)

7. Signature Design Concept

The bronze-app will feature an interactive "Task Carousel" on the homepage. This carousel will allow users to swipe through their tasks in a visually engaging manner. Each task will appear as a card that users can swipe left to delete or swipe right to mark as completed. The carousel will use smooth animations powered by framer-motion to provide a seamless user experience. The background will subtly change colors based on the time of day, creating a dynamic and personalized feel.

8. Interaction Model & Motion Direction

The landing page will use an "animated" interaction model. This will include moderate scroll-triggered reveals and hover transitions. The task carousel will feature spring physics on interactive elements, providing a polished and engaging experience for users.

9. Non-Functional Requirements

  • The application must load within 2 seconds on a standard broadband connection.
  • The application should be responsive and function correctly on both desktop and mobile devices.
  • The application must be accessible, adhering to WCAG 2.1 AA standards.

10. Tech Stack

  • Frontend: React for Web
  • Backend: Not applicable (single-page app with no backend)
  • Database: Not applicable (local storage for task management)
  • AI Models: Not applicable
  • Local orchestration: Not applicable
  • Server-side orchestration: Not applicable

11. Assumptions and Constraints

  • The application will be a single-page app with no server-side components.
  • All data will be stored locally on the user's device.
  • The app will not require user authentication or account management.

12. Glossary

  • Single-page application (SPA): A web application that interacts with the user by dynamically rewriting the current page rather than loading entire new pages from the server.
  • WCAG 2.1 AA: Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, a set of recommendations for making web content more accessible.
