System Requirements Document (SRD) for brave-store

1. Introduction

Welcome to the System Requirements Document (SRD) for brave-store, a grocery store application envisioned by Rahim Naaz from Pakistan. This document outlines the requirements, design concepts, and technical specifications for the brave-store project. The goal is to create a user-friendly, efficient, and visually appealing platform tailored to the needs of grocery shoppers in Pakistan, with features that simplify daily shopping and enhance the overall experience.

2. System Overview

brave-store is a grocery store application designed to provide users with a seamless shopping experience. The platform will allow users to browse grocery items, schedule deliveries, access discounts, and participate in a loyalty program. The system will cater to multiple user personas, including regular customers, guests, and administrators, ensuring a robust and scalable solution.

The application will be localized for the Pakistani market, incorporating PKR as the default currency, Urdu and English language options, and timezone settings based on PKT (Pakistan Standard Time). The system will leverage modern technologies to ensure high performance, security, and scalability.

3. Functional Requirements

3. Guest

  • Visitors who browse the store without creating an account.
  • Needs: Quick access to product information and a prompt to register for additional features.

5. Visuals Colors and Theme

Color Palette:

  • Background: #F9F5F0 (Soft Cream)
  • Surface: #FFFFFF (Pure White)
  • Text: #333333 (Charcoal Black)
  • Accent: #FF6F61 (Warm Coral)

Interactive Grocery Shelves

The homepage of brave-store will feature a visually stunning and interactive design resembling a virtual grocery store aisle. Users will see 3D-rendered shelves stocked with grocery items. As they hover over an item, it will "pop out" slightly with a subtle animation, displaying key details like price, weight, and availability.

Key features:

  • Dynamic Animations: Items on the shelves will gently sway or rotate when hovered over, creating a tactile and engaging experience.
  • Category Navigation: Users can swipe or scroll horizontally to navigate different aisles (e.g., Fruits & Vegetables, Dairy, Snacks).
  • Personalized Recommendations: A floating "smart assistant" icon will display recommended items based on user preferences.
  • Ambient Sounds: Soft background sounds of a bustling grocery store will play, enhancing immersion.
  • Color Transitions: The background color will subtly shift based on the time of day (e.g., warm tones in the morning, cooler tones in the evening).

This design concept ensures that the brave-store app leaves a lasting impression and makes grocery shopping enjoyable and memorable.
