You are an expert game developer and senior software architect. Your task is to build a complete Block Blast–style puzzle game (mobile or web) with clean, modular, production-ready code. GAME OVERVIEW Create a game inspired by Block Blast!: • Player gets three block pieces each round. • They drag pieces onto a 10×10 grid. • Completed rows and columns are cleared. • Chain clears create combo bonuses. • Game ends when no available space fits the given pieces. • Include scoring, animations, sound hooks, UI, and scalable architecture. ⸻ MY REQUIREMENTS 1. Output Format Produce: 1. Architecture overview 2. Directory/file structure 3. Full source code 4. Instructions to run the game 5. Optional extras (analytics, save system, mobile-friendly controls) ⸻ 2. Technical Requirements Choose one tech stack below (pick the most appropriate unless I specify otherwise): Option A — Web Version • JavaScript or TypeScript • React or Vanilla Canvas • Modular ES6 code • Responsive layout for desktop + mobile • Simple drag-and-drop controls Option B — Mobile Version • Unity (C#) • OR Godot (GDScript) • Touch-optimized interactions When generating the code, include: • Grid system • Piece generation algorithm • Collision detection • Placement validation • Row/column clearing • Score system • Combo system • Game-over detection • Polished UI • Sound triggers (stub OK) • Hint system (optional) • Save/load progress ⸻ 3. Design Requirements Gameplay Feel • Smooth drag & drop • Snappy line-clear animation • Bright shapes and colors • Satisfying feedback Difficulty Progression • Start with simple pieces • Unlock complex shapes • Add rare special pieces (optional) UI Requirements • Clean layout • Visible next 3 blocks • Clear score display • Restart + settings menu ⸻ 4. AI Assistance Guidelines When responding: • Explain reasoning behind systems • Comment key parts of the code • Avoid unnecessary complexity • Ensure the game runs out-of-the-box ⸻ 5. Deliverables Your output must include: A. Full Project Blueprint • Game loop diagram • State machine explanation • Input handling design • Piece generation algorithms • Performance considerations B. Full Code Provide all source code, including: • index.html • style.css • game.js (or full React/Unity code as needed) C. Build + Run Instructions • How to run locally • How to export for mobile (if applicable) D. Extra Enhancements (optional) Add if possible: • Multiplayer mode • AI-generated puzzles • Daily challenge mode • Cosmetic themes

System Requirements Document (SRD)

Project Name: brave-game

1. Introduction

Welcome to the System Requirements Document (SRD) for brave-game, a Block Blast–style puzzle game designed to deliver an engaging and addictive gameplay experience. This document outlines the functional and non-functional requirements, technical specifications, and design concepts necessary to develop a scalable, modular, and production-ready web-based game.

This project is tailored for Zubair Shafaq, based in Belgium (BE), and considers locale-specific defaults such as European time zones and preferences for accessibility across desktop and mobile platforms.

2. System Overview

brave-game is a web-based puzzle game inspired by Block Blast, where players interact with a 10×10 grid to place block pieces, clear rows and columns, and achieve high scores through combo bonuses. The game ends when no available space fits the given pieces.

The system will feature:

  • Smooth drag-and-drop controls optimized for browser-based gameplay.
  • A modular architecture built with React and ES6 for scalability and maintainability.
  • Bright, visually appealing shapes and colors with satisfying animations and sound hooks.
  • A scoring system, combo mechanics, and difficulty progression to enhance replayability.

3. Functional Requirements

Gameplay Mechanics

  • As a Player, I should be able to drag and drop block pieces onto a 10×10 grid.
  • As a Player, I should be able to clear rows and columns when they are fully filled.
  • As a Player, I should be able to earn combo bonuses for chain clears.
  • As a Player, I should see my score update dynamically based on my actions.
  • As a Player, I should be notified when the game is over due to no available space for pieces.

UI Features

  • As a Player, I should see the next three block pieces displayed clearly.
  • As a Player, I should have access to a restart button to reset the game.
  • As a Player, I should be able to access a settings menu to adjust sound and visuals.

Optional Enhancements

  • As a Player, I should be able to save and load my progress.
  • As a Player, I should be able to play daily challenges for unique puzzles.
  • As a Player, I should be able to unlock cosmetic themes for the grid and pieces.

4. User Personas

Player

  • Description: Casual gamers who enjoy puzzle games and are looking for a quick, engaging experience.
  • Goals: Achieve high scores, enjoy satisfying gameplay mechanics, and challenge themselves with increasing difficulty.
  • Pain Points: Frustration with unclear controls, laggy animations, or overly complex mechanics.

Admin (Optional for Analytics Features)

  • Description: Game administrators who monitor player statistics and manage optional features like daily challenges or cosmetic themes.
  • Goals: Ensure smooth gameplay experience, analyze player engagement, and manage updates.

5. Visuals Colors and Theme

Color Palette

The color palette for brave-game is designed to evoke a sense of fun, vibrancy, and clarity:

  • Background: #1E1E2F (Deep Midnight Blue)
  • Surface: #2A2A40 (Charcoal Gray)
  • Text: #F5F5FA (Soft White)
  • Accent: #FF6F61 (Bright Coral)
  • Muted Tones: #A6A6B3 (Muted Lavender Gray)

This palette ensures high contrast for readability and a visually appealing gameplay environment.

6. Signature Design Concept

Floating Puzzle Grid with Dynamic Animations

The homepage of brave-game will feature a floating puzzle grid that dynamically reacts to user interactions. Here's how it works:

  • Visuals: The grid appears as a glowing, semi-transparent 10×10 matrix suspended in a 3D space. Each block piece is rendered with a subtle neon glow and rotates slightly when hovered over.
  • Animations: When a row or column is cleared, the blocks explode into particles that swirl around the grid before fading away. Combo clears trigger a cascading light effect across the grid.
  • Interactions: The grid subtly tilts and shifts based on cursor movement, creating a sense of depth and immersion.
  • Transitions: The homepage transitions seamlessly into the game screen with a zoom-in effect, making the grid feel like the centerpiece of the experience.

This bold design ensures the game is instantly memorable and visually captivating.

7. Non-Functional Requirements

  • Performance: The game must run smoothly on modern browsers (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge) with minimal latency.
  • Scalability: The architecture should support future enhancements like multiplayer mode or AI-generated puzzles.
  • Accessibility: Ensure compatibility with screen readers and keyboard navigation for players with disabilities.
  • Localization: Default to European time zones and formats for Belgium-based users.

8. Tech Stack
