Smart ResumeAnalyzer

Introduction

The Smart ResumeAnalyzer is a cutting-edge tool designed to assist students and job seekers by analyzing their resumes to identify skill gaps and provide learning recommendations. This project leverages AI technology to compare the skills listed in a resume with those required for specific job roles, such as Java Developer, Data Analyst, or Python Developer. The goal is to offer users actionable insights to enhance their employability.

System Overview

The Smart ResumeAnalyzer is a web-based application that allows users to upload their resumes in PDF or DOCX format. The system processes the resume to extract and analyze skills, then compares these skills against a database of job role requirements. It provides feedback on missing skills and suggests learning resources to bridge these gaps. The application is built using Python and Flask for the backend, with HTML, CSS, and Bootstrap for the frontend. SQLite is used as the database to store job role requirements and learning resources.

Signature Design Concept

The homepage of the Smart ResumeAnalyzer will feature an interactive "Skill Map" visualization. Users can drag and drop their resume onto a dynamic map that highlights their current skills as nodes. Missing skills for selected job roles will appear as pulsating nodes, inviting users to click and explore recommended learning paths. This interactive map will be built using d3 for data visualization, providing an engaging and informative experience.

Interaction Model & Motion Direction

The landing page will utilize a "parallax" interaction model, creating a layered depth effect as users scroll. The Skill Map will animate smoothly, with nodes expanding and contracting as users interact with them. This approach will provide a visually rich and engaging first impression, ideal for a tool focused on skill development and analysis.
