Introduction

The Smart Resume Analyzer is a tool designed to help students and job seekers analyze their resumes, identify skills, and compare them with the skills required for specific job roles. This project aims to provide users with insights into their skill gaps and offer learning recommendations to enhance their employability.

System Overview

The system allows users to upload their resumes in PDF or DOCX format. It then analyzes the content to extract skills and compares them with the skills required for selected job roles such as Java Developer, Data Analyst, or Python Developer. The system provides feedback on eligibility and suggests learning paths to acquire missing skills.

Functional Requirements

  • As a User, I should be able to upload my resume in PDF or DOCX format.
  • As a User, I should be able to select a job role to compare my skills against.
  • As a User, I should receive feedback on my eligibility for the selected job role.
  • As a User, I should receive recommendations for learning resources to fill skill gaps.
  • As a User, I should be able to view a summary of my skills extracted from the resume.
  • As a Developer, I need to build a website based on the provided design references.

Signature Design Concept

Interactive Skill Galaxy: The homepage features an interactive galaxy map where each star represents a skill. Users can click on stars to view details about the skill and its relevance to selected job roles. The galaxy rotates as users drag their cursor, creating an engaging and exploratory experience. This concept will use @react-three/fiber and @react-three/drei for 3D interactions.

Interaction Model & Motion Direction

  • Landing Page: Parallax interaction with layered depth via scroll. Decorative elements translate at different speeds, enhancing the storytelling aspect.
  • Internal Pages: Animated with moderate scroll-triggered reveals and hover transitions for a polished user experience.

Non-Functional Requirements

  • The system should process resume uploads within 5 seconds.
  • The website should be responsive and accessible on both desktop and mobile devices.
  • Data privacy must be ensured for all uploaded resumes.
