Psychological Empathic Research Plan

Introduction

The "Psychological Empathic Research Plan" is a project aimed at creating a platform for individuals to anonymously share their personal stories, particularly those involving sensitive topics such as parental abuse. The platform is designed to encourage users to express their inner voices without fear of judgment, thereby aiding in their psychological healing and personality management. This project is intended to function as a charitable initiative, providing a safe and empathetic space for users.

System Overview

The system will be a web-based platform that allows users to anonymously submit their stories. The platform will not require any personal information such as names or addresses, ensuring complete anonymity. The primary focus is on creating an empathetic environment where users feel encouraged to share their experiences. The system will also include functionality to provide empathetic responses to users' submissions, as pre-approved by the API supervisor.

Functional Requirements as Story Points

  • As a User, I should be able to anonymously submit my story without providing any personal information.
  • As a User, I should be able to receive an empathetic response after submitting my story.
  • As a User, I should feel encouraged and appreciated for sharing my story.
  • As a System, I should ensure that no personal data is collected or stored.
  • As a System, I should provide a seamless and intuitive user experience to facilitate story sharing.
  • As a System, I should implement empathetic response functionality as pre-approved by the API supervisor.

User Personas

  • Anonymous User: Individuals who wish to share their personal stories anonymously. They are looking for a safe space to express their experiences without fear of judgment or exposure.

Core User Flows

  • Anonymous User visits the website -> submits their story anonymously -> receives an empathetic response -> feels encouraged and appreciated.

Signature Design Concept

The homepage will feature an interactive watercolor canvas that subtly morphs colors based on the time of day, creating a calming and empathetic atmosphere. Users can click and drag to create their own watercolor patterns, symbolizing the expression of their inner emotions. This interactive element will be built using framer-motion for smooth animations and transitions. As users interact with the canvas, gentle animations will guide them to the story submission section, enhancing the feeling of being in a safe and creative space.

Interaction Model & Motion Direction

  • Intended Interaction Model: Parallax
    • The landing page will feature layered depth via scroll, with decorative watercolor elements translating at different speeds to create a soothing and immersive experience. Real content will scroll naturally, maintaining clarity and focus on the story submission process.
  • Internal Pages: Static
    • For internal pages, such as the story submission form, a static layout will be used to ensure ease of use and focus on content.

Non-Functional Requirements

  • The system must ensure complete anonymity for users.
  • The platform should be accessible and user-friendly.
  • The system should be scalable to handle a large number of submissions.
  • The empathetic response functionality must be reliable and accurate.

Tech Stack

  • Frontend: React for Web
  • Backend: Python, FastAPI
  • Database: MongoDB for storing non-identifiable data
  • AI Models: Claude Sonnet 5 for empathetic response generation
  • AI Tools: Litellm for LLM Routing
