Indra Multistore

Introduction

Indra Multistore is a modern, scalable, and production-ready multi-store eCommerce platform designed to cater to both small and large-scale vendors. Inspired by industry leaders like Amazon, Flipkart, Swiggy, Meesho, and Shopify, it aims to provide a comprehensive solution for managing diverse product categories and ensuring a seamless shopping experience for customers.

System Overview

The Indra Multistore platform is structured into two fully separated systems: the Customer Frontend Panel and the Admin Dashboard Panel. This separation allows for focused development on user experience and efficient management. The platform supports a wide range of product categories, including food delivery, electronics, fashion, and more, ensuring flexibility and scalability for vendors of all sizes.

Functional Requirements

  • As a Customer, I should be able to browse products across various categories.
  • As a Customer, I should be able to securely log in and manage my profile.
  • As a Customer, I should be able to add products to my cart and proceed to checkout.
  • As a Customer, I should be able to track my orders and download invoices.
  • As an Admin, I should be able to manage products, orders, and customer information.
  • As an Admin, I should be able to view analytics and generate reports.
  • As a Super Admin, I should have full control over the platform, including managing other admins.

User Personas

  • Customer: Individuals who browse and purchase products from the platform.
  • Admin: Users who manage the day-to-day operations of the platform, including product and order management.
  • Super Admin: Users with full control over the platform, including administrative and security settings.

Visuals Colors and Theme

  • primary: #1A73E8 (a deep blue for brand dominance)
  • primary_light: #E8F0FE (a light blue for hover states)
  • secondary: #FF6F61 (a coral hue for emphasis and links)
  • accent: #FFD700 (a vibrant gold for CTAs and active states)
  • highlight: #FFA500 (a warm orange for notifications and active indicators)
  • bg: #FFFFFF (a clean white for the page background)
  • surface: rgba(250, 250, 250, 0.8) (a soft grey for card backgrounds)
  • text: #333333 (a dark grey for primary text)
  • text_muted: #777777 (a lighter grey for secondary text)
  • border: rgba(200, 200, 200, 0.5) (a subtle grey for borders)

Signature Design Concept

The Indra Multistore homepage will feature an interactive 3D marketplace using @react-three/fiber and @react-three/drei. Users will navigate through a virtual shopping mall where each store is represented as a 3D storefront. Hovering over a store will animate the storefront, revealing featured products and promotions. Clicking on a store will zoom into a detailed view, allowing users to explore products in an immersive environment. This concept will create a memorable and engaging first impression, encouraging exploration and interaction.

Interaction Model & Motion Direction

The landing page will employ a "parallax" interaction model, providing a layered depth effect as users scroll. Decorative elements like floating product icons and atmospheric particles will move at different speeds, creating a dynamic and visually rich experience. Internal pages, such as the admin dashboard, will use a "static" model to prioritize clarity and efficiency.

Non-Functional Requirements

  • High performance with fast page loading and smooth user experience.
  • Scalability to accommodate growing numbers of vendors and customers.
  • Robust security features, including JWT authentication and secure payment processing.
  • Mobile-first responsive design for accessibility across devices.

Tech Stack

  • Frontend: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Bootstrap 5 or Tailwind CSS
  • Backend: Laravel PHP or Node.js Express
  • Database: MySQL
  • Architecture: REST APIs, MVC Structure, JWT Authentication
  • Integrations: Google Maps API, OTP Verification, Razorpay, Stripe, PayPal

Assumptions and Constraints

  • The platform will support both small and large-scale vendors.
  • The system must handle high traffic and large volumes of transactions.
  • Security and data privacy are critical, with compliance to relevant regulations.

Glossary

  • JWT: JSON Web Token, a compact, URL-safe means of representing claims to be transferred between two parties.
  • MVC: Model-View-Controller, a software design pattern for implementing user interfaces.
  • REST API: Representational State Transfer, an architectural style for designing networked applications.

This document outlines the comprehensive system requirements for the Indra Multistore project, ensuring a robust and scalable eCommerce platform.
