The "Event-planner" project, also known as the "AI Weekend Planner," is a web and mobile application designed to help users discover and plan events and activities based on their interests, location, budget, and preferred dates. This document outlines the system requirements for the development and deployment of the Event-planner application.
The Event-planner application aims to simplify the process of finding and organizing weekend activities by providing personalized event recommendations. Users can sign up, select their interests, and receive tailored suggestions for local events. The platform supports event organizers by allowing them to register and advertise their events, thereby reaching a wider audience.
Key features include user registration, interest-based recommendations, location and budget filtering, event categorization, itinerary creation, and integration with maps and navigation services.
The homepage of the Event-planner will feature large immersive hero sections with animated backgrounds and a "What's Happening This Weekend?" headline. Users will see a dynamic map with event pins scattered across their location. Each pin represents an event, and clicking on a pin will reveal a pop-up card with event details, including a brief description, date, time, and a "Save to Itinerary" button. The map will be interactive, allowing users to zoom in and out, and drag to explore different areas. This concept will be implemented using @react-three/fiber for 3D map rendering and framer-motion for smooth animations and transitions.
The landing page will utilize a "parallax" interaction model, providing a layered depth experience as users scroll through the page. Decorative elements such as atmospheric blobs and distant shapes will move at different speeds to create a visually rich first impression. Internal pages will adopt a "static" interaction model for clarity and ease of use, focusing on content and functionality.
