The project aims to understand the extent of chemical dependency in local farming practices and introduce sustainable organic alternatives.

2. System Overview

The project focuses on promoting organic farming practices and reducing chemical usage in Kavuru Village. It involves community engagement, awareness drives, and practical demonstrations to encourage the adoption of organic methods.

3. Functional Requirements

  • I want to understand the current chemical fertiliser and pesticide usage patterns in farming and kitchen gardens.
  • I want to participate in awareness sessions to learn about the benefits of organic farming.
  • I want to receive training on preparing and using organic alternatives like compost and bio-pesticides.
  • I want to access resources and support for transitioning to organic farming practices.
  • I want to participate in pilot projects to test organic farming methods on my land.
  • I want to engage in crop rotation between cereals, legumes, and vegetables to naturally replenish soil nitrogen and break pest and disease cycles.
  • I want to understand the economic structure of the area to better align my farming practices with local economic conditions.

As a Community Member:

  • I want to participate in cultural and seasonal events that promote organic farming.
