Scenic-Website System Requirements Document

Introduction

The purpose of this document is to outline the system requirements for the "Scenic-Website" project, specifically designed for "Clear Cards," a marketplace for sports card collectibles. This website will feature a modern aesthetic with American-themed colors, focusing on first-hand card sales, card protection products, and live event announcements.

System Overview

The "Scenic-Website" will serve as an online marketplace for sports card enthusiasts, providing a platform for buying and selling first-hand sports cards. The website will also offer card protection products such as plastic top loader card holders, one-touch holders, and penny sleeves. Additionally, the site will feature an announcement page for live streams and events, enhancing user engagement.

Signature Design Concept

The homepage of the "Scenic-Website" will feature an interactive 3D sports card gallery using @react-three/fiber and @react-three/drei. Users can click and drag to explore a virtual card collection displayed on a rotating carousel. Each card will flip to reveal details when clicked, and users can zoom in for a closer look. The background will subtly shift colors based on the time of day, creating a dynamic and immersive experience.

Interaction Model & Motion Direction

The gallery will showcase actual Hall of Fame and star player cards from the 1960s, 1970s, 1980s, and 2000s eras, featuring Topps-style artwork and including baseball, football, and basketball cards, enhancing the nostalgic yet dynamic feel of the website. The landing page will utilize a "parallax" interaction model, providing a layered depth effect as users scroll. Decorative elements like floating sports cards and dynamic backgrounds will move at different speeds, enhancing the storytelling aspect. Internal pages will maintain a "static" interaction model for clarity and ease of use.

Non-Functional Requirements

• The website must be responsive and accessible across all devices.
• Transactions must be secure, ensuring user data protection.
• The site should load within 3 seconds on a standard broadband connection.
