InstaCompanion

byCaleb Doolittle

I want a mobile first site that is the "Instacart Companion" app. Here's how it works. Person A does instacart with their account, and Person B does not. However, B likes to go with A and help. Currently, A will send screenshots of all items to be scanned to B, and B will navigate through the screenshots to find those items. This process feels clunky, and screenshots take a long time to work properly. Here's how the companion app will work. A screenshots everything as before, but instead of texting them to B, they click "Shopper" on the main page, and then click "Upload" on the next page. They will upload their screenshots, which an AI will look at and grab a thumbnail of the item, the information such as the aisle and location, and build a simple checklist like is in the Instacart app, but for the "Companion." B can click on "Companion" and see this list real time, check items off, and then they will go to the bottom of the list to keep things nice and tidy. Once all items are there, A and B can re-unite, and A can scan all items in the Instacart app. This will help make everything run smoother for when 2 people are doing the work. A couple of notes, the app should look for duplicates from the screenshots, as screenshots aren't always perfectly aligned.
